Halal Guard ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your personal information is collected, used, and disclosed by Halal Guard.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: We collect your email address and profile name (via Google Sign-In or manual registration) for account management and cloud synchronization.

Manual Entry & Reports: We collect barcodes entered manually and product details (brand, name, images) submitted through the "Report Product" screen.

Camera Usage: We use your device's camera to scan barcodes and analyze product labels. Photos are processed using secure AI to identify Halal status but are not stored unless you "Report" a product.

Advertising & Analytics: We use Google AdMob and Cloudinary for displaying advertisements. These services may collect and use your device's advertising ID. We also use Firebase for performance monitoring.

How to Delete Your Account:

  1. Open the Halal Guard app.
  2. Navigate to the Profile screen from the bottom menu.
  3. Tap on the Delete Account option.
  4. Confirm your request in the dialog.

Once confirmed, your account, personal data, and scan history will be permanently deleted from our primary servers. You may also request deletion by emailing halalguard0@gmail.com.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, identifiers are removed from our systems immediately. Backup snapshots may persist for a short period but are excluded from active processing.

6. GDPR & International Rights

We respect your rights to access, correct, or delete your data under GDPR (EU) and CCPA (California). We do not sell your personal data.
